Eine Drehung ist bestimmt durch ein Drehzentrum Z und einen Drehwinkel \alpha .

Die Drehung hat folgende Eigenschaften:

  • Kongruenz der Abbildung
  • Der Drehpunkt Z ist der einzige Fixpunkt
  • Der Umlaufsinn wird beibehalten
  • Die Drehung ist eine Punktspiegelung für \alpha=180°
