Madeira (Portugal) The first Klein Conference was held in Madeira, Portugal, from 1-4 October, 2009. It was organised by CIM, hosted at the Universidade da Madeira, and also supported by CMUC, CMAT, and CMAF. There were about 100 participants, predominantly from Portugal and Brazil.

The second Klein conference was held in Castro-Urdales (Spain, near Santander) from 2-5 June 2010, sponsored by I-Math and hosted by the CIEM . Detailed Information about this event is provided at the Conferencia Klein website, including (at Programa) links to all the presentations and to a document of conclusions.

A UK Klein Workshop was held on 18th June, 2010, in the Faculty of Education, Oxford University, kindly hosted by the Mathematics Education Research Group, and sponsored by the MSOR network. Contact Chris Sangwin. See website.

Yuriko Baldin has established "Projeto Klein em Língua Portuguesa" which had its first meeting of about forty people in July 2010 in Belo Horizonte (see link below). The themes were Numbers and Functions. The second meeting will be in João Pessoa in mid-October, with the themes Arithmetic and Algebra. This project has four-year funding from the Brazilian government.

The James R. Leitzel Lecture and an accompanying special session at Mathfest 2010 in Pittsburg 6-7 August 2010 was devoted to the Klein Project. PowerPoint presentations from that session are available on the page below.
